Japanese
automaker Suzuki has expanded its line-up for the Indonesian market with a slightly
more premium version of its MPV Ertiga, badged Ertiga Dreza. It is
expected to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The new variant of the MPV gets
a heavily restyled front fascia along with tweaks to its sides and rear. Inside
there's a new infotainment system and new trim inserts around the cabin.
On
the exterior, the Ertiga Dreza sports a new front bumper with fog lamps set low
down, a wide V-shaped air-dam with a chrome trim along the lower lip with LED
lights, a larger rectangular grille positioned lower on the front fascia and
more chrome detailing along the edge of the bonnet. The Ertiga Dreza gets new
design alloy wheels along with the addition of door sill guards. At the back,
the Dreza gets a roof-mounted spoiler with integrated stop lamp, a redesigned
rear bumper, chrome garnish along the rear windshield and a Dreza badge on the
tail-gate. The car is also about 100mm longer than the standard model.
With
respect to the interior, the Dreza gets new upholstery, wood trim inserts and a
9.0-inch touchscreen AVN system with Android 4.1 software with iOS support and
navigation. In contrast, the top-spec Ertiga in India gets a 7.0-inch SmartPlay
touchscreen infotainment system.
Under
the hood, the Ertiga Dreza is similar to the regular Ertiga. It is powered by a
1.4-litre petrol engine mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
The
Dreza is expected to launch soon in Indonesia. However, there is no confirmation
on whether Maruti will launch this version of the MPV in the Indian market.
