Chevrolet Trailblazer launched, priced at Rs. 26.4 Lakhs


General Motors India today launched the Chevrolet Trailblazer in the country at a price of 26.4 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The company is accepting bookings via Amazon India for a minimum amount of Rs. 25,000 between October 21- 25.


The Trailblazer measures 4,878 mm long, 1,902 mm wide, 1,847 mm high and has a 2,845 mm long wheelbase, while the ground clearance is 253 mm. The interior offers 7 seats spread across three rows. The third row seats has 50:50 split fold thus providing more storage space, while the second row seats fold 60:40 giving more than 50% of the cabin free for storage.

It is loaded with cutting-edge technology and features such as projector headlights, leather upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, 7 inch MyLink touchscreen entertainment system with USB, CD, Bluetooth and AUX-in, automatic climate control, rear AC and electrically-adjustable driver’s seat. The MyLink system supports Siri Eyes Free for Apple iPhone owners.

With respect to the mechanics, Trailblazer is powered by a 2.8-liter four cylinder Duramax diesel engine, which produces 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends torque to the rear wheels. Fuel mileage is rated at 11.45 km/L.


The Chevrolet Trailblazer delivers on safety with equal concern. It comes standard with dual air bags, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), cornering brake control (CBC), hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), traction control system (TCS), panic brake assist (PBA) and hydraulic brake assist (HBA).


Let’s wait and see how it competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ssangyong Rexton, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Ford Endeavour.
