New cars to be unveiled in India in the coming months

Year 2015 has almost come to an end but the Indian Car Market is still eagerly awaiting a bunch full of new launches. We are already through the launch of the Celerio diesel and the Ford Figo Aspire and also the launch of luxury cars like the Mercedes AMG S 63 and S 63 Coupe. Let’s take a look at the
yet to be launched cars during this year:
Chevrolet Trailblazer (Launch Date: October 21)
Chevrolet is ready to launch its rival to Toyota Fortuner in India during the coming festive season. This SUV will initially be powered by a 197bhp, 2.8-litre diesel engine mated to an automatic gearbox. A  161bhp, 2.5-litre unit is likely to follow soon. The Trailblazer at the time of launch is expected to be only available as two-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive might also make its way here later.
Fiat Punto Evo Abarth (Launch Date: October 19)
The next Abarth model coming to India is the Punto Evo Abarth. This performance Punto will be powered by a 145bhp 1.4-litre T-Jet engine along with disc brakes, Abarth graphics and badges, additional exterior detailing, a different suspension and new wheels.
Fiat Avventura Abarth
The third model from Abarth is the performance version of the Avventura. This car will remain unchanged from its standard variant, but will have the addition of the 140bhp T-Jet motor from the Punto Evo Abarth.
Maruti Baleno (Launch Date: October 26)
The Baleno model is all set to make a return to India, but this time it is going to be as a premium hatchback. It will be Maruti’s rival to the Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz. The new Baleno is larger and wider than the Swift and will be slotted above the popular hatchback in Maruti’s line-up. The Baleno will be powered by Maruti’s tried-and-tested 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engines. A more powerful 110bhp 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine will join the line-up later. The Baleno will also be on offer with a CVT gearbox mated to the 1.2-litre petrol motor whereas the diesel powerplant is likely to get Maruti’s SHVS hybrid system. The car will be well equipped with the top-end model having features such as climate control, 7.0 inch touchscreen-equipped SmartPlay infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime-running lamps, among others. The Baleno will be sold through Maruti’s Nexa dealerships.
Maruti Ertiga facelift
Suzuki has disclosed the Ertiga MPV facelift at the Indonesia motor show. The MPV will have changes in the exterior styling in the form of chrome detailing at the front and rear, new grille and a new front bumper along with new interior upholstery and added features. The most striking feature is the split folding third row seats. In India, the Ertiga facelift is expected to get additional SmartPlay infotainment system and key-less entry.
Ford Endeavour
Ford will be launching its new Endeavour in India sometime this year. The new model gets rugged styling with a large trapezoidal chrome grille, daytime running lamps, scuff plates, large and prominent wheel arches and wheels, along with chrome detailing on door handles and wing mirror covers. The interior also will get an upgrade. An 8-inch touchscreen system with Ford’s SYNC 2 infotainment along with sat nav and a rear-view camera on the top-end model and a seven seat configuration are offered. It is expected to be powered by a 2.2 litre 158bhp and a 3.2 litre 197bhp diesel engine and also a choice of six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
Mercedes-AMG GT
Mercedes will be launching the SLS successor, the AMG GT, in India later this year. The AMG GT is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo AMG V8. In the international market, the car is available in two versions — the standard GT developing 456bhp and the GT S developing 503bhp. The version that's will be launched in India is yet to be confirmed.
Ford Mustang
The Ford Mustang is available in the international market with three engine options  — a 306bhp 2.3-litre, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, a 296bhp 3.7-litre V6, and a 429bhp 5.0-litre V8; and in two versions – coupĂ© and drop-top. India is expected to get the coupĂ© version of the iconic car, but the type of engine is yet to be confirmed.
BMW 3-series facelift
Yet another facelifted BMW is heading to India. The 3-series with prototypes is already being tested in the country. Internationally, the facelifted car has been tweaked in styling  along with a new range of engines whereas for India the engines are expected to remain the same. BMW is also expected to launch updated versions of the 7-series, 5-series and X1.
