Let’s take a look at the Yamaha M-Slaz ahead of
its world premiere in Thailand, at the 32nd Thailand International Motor Expo
2015. The model will be launched today in Thailand at an expected price of THB
85,000 (INR 1.58 lakhs).
Based on the Yamaha Deltaframe chassis that underpins the Yamaha R15, the M-Slaz is expected to pack the same powertrain but different features compared to the super sport model. The salient features on the Yamaha M-Slaz will include inverted telescopic fork, fully digital instrument panel, an LED projector head lamp (yet to be confirmed), new alloy wheels, a small capacity fuel tank, split seats, familiar exhaust can, a monoshock on swingarm, and an LED tail lamp.
The Yamaha M-Slaz is expected to be powered by the same
engine used on the Yamaha R15 V2.0, which is a 150 cc liquid-cooled
single-cylinder engine with SOHC. The motor produces 17 PS at 8,500 rpm and 15
Nm at 7,500 rpm on the R15, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
