Audi India has launched the second generation 2016 Audi Q7 in
the nation today. It is priced at INR 72 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Q7
45 TDI premium plus variant and INR 77.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the
Technology variant. It will be brought to India via the CBU route.
The powertrain is the powerful 45
TDI (3.0-liter TDI) unit, which churns 183kW (249 hp) and 600 Nm of peak
torque propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100 in 7.1 seconds. Paired to
an 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox, power is sent to all wheels via
Audi’s Quattro AWD system.
Exterior:
The
defining elements of the exterior of the new Audi Q7 comprise of the solid
Singleframe grille, the Matrix LED highlights featuring striking double arrow
graphics, intense wheel arches and the shoulder line emphasizing the wheels and
20-inch alloy rims. The tailgate extending around the D-pillars are
complemented by new highlights such as inlay strips at the bottom of the doors
with Quattro embossing.
Interior:
The
new Q7 boasts of the most spacious interior in its class. It is equipped with
the latest MMI infotainment system navigated via MMI Touch, Four-Zone
Climate Control, Bose 3D sound system, Audi music interface with two USB ports
and a Bluetooth interface, and a 12.3-inch 1440×540 pixel customizable Audi
Virtual Cockpit screen.
The Audi Q7 will continue to rival luxury 7 seaters such as the Volvo
XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes GL and Land Rover Discovery.
