Maruti S-Cross Premia, a special edition of the S-Cross is being introduced
by Maruti Suzuki in the tier I cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad and
Bangalore. It is basically the Delta variant of the DDiS 200 diesel version,
with added accessories. It is priced at INR 8.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The S-Cross Premia gets four major added features, i.e. alloy wheels,
fog lamps, reverse parking assist with a camera and a Garmin 12.7 cm (5 inch)
navigation system. The rest of the features remain same as the lower-mid
level, Delta trim of the S-Cross. The Maruti S-Cross DDiS 200 Delta
variant is priced at INR 9.15 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and is equipped
only with a basic audio system with a CD player and a remote, a manual AC unit
and steel wheels with full wheel caps.
The S-Cross is retailed exclusively through Maruti’s NEXA chain of
outlets. It is available with Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel engines in the
Indian market. A 1.3-liter engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox,
whereas the 1.6-liter engine gets a 6-speed manual transmission.
