 The Maruti Vitara Brezza, when launched next month, will primarily rival the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300. However, price wise, buyers of the the top-end variants of the Vitara Brezza will consider entry-level variants of larger compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster (the facelifted Duster will be launched next month), and Maruti’s own S-Cross.

Hyundai Tucson may be launched in India by 2016

According to reports, Hyundai India could launch the Tucson SUV in the nation by 2016. The third generation Hyundai Tucson is sold by the company worldwide and is the only SUV that is not sold by Hyundai in India.

Hyundai to offer Grand i10 and Xcent in CNG variants

Hyundai India has introduced CNG kits for the Grand i10 and the Xcent and calls it Dual ECU Dynamic Sequential Technology (DEDST). Hyundai has fitted separate injectors for smoother flow of gas thereby reducing lag. This system also has the option to switch to petrol once the car runs out of gas.

Hyundai Creta gets pricier by Rs. 20,000

Hyundai India has declared that it is increasing the price of its recent launch, the Hyundai Creta, by a minimum of Rs 10,000 with immediate effect. The SUV has a waiting period  of around six months at present with orders standing at over 50,000 units.
